Artist Statement

I am a dancer, creator, and most importantly a storyteller.

My work depicts experiences and views of my own life, often blurring the lines between literal and abstract representations. Once I have a story to tell, I put together movement and audio that I believe best represents the plot I want to showcase. My movement is angular and shape-based, thought-provoking, incorporates narrative, and an amalgamation of different styles and techniques. My work is aesthetically captivating for a viewing audience. I enjoy working collaboratively with others, gaining input and new insights on how a project can be elevated and more refined. I create work to look back on later and to see the different stages I have gone through in my life, almost like looking back at a time capsule. To see my movement quality evolve, as well as how my thoughts changed throughout time. I am an artist that utilizes all types of media, including writing, photography, and film, to strengthen a dance and the depth of meaning inside of it. I am, a creator that cannot sit still and I strive to make work strictly from the heart, putting my everything into my passion.
